With this one sheet, I once again pay tribute to the amazing artist....Ralph McQuarrie, a conceptual designer and illustrator. I am trying to fully realize one of Ralph's concepts for a Star Wars (1977) one sheet poster.
His career included work on the original Star Wars trilogy. Sadly, Ralph passed away in 2012. But his legacy lives on...the current Lucasfilm creative team is employing parts of McQuarrie's original unused concept art from the seventies and eighties in the development of new Star Wars-related media.
