This is a remake of the 1932 movie with Lyle Talbot and Girger Rogers called "The 13th Guest" which can be found here at the archive,. It may be plotted more closely to the book, I don’t know, but It’s not a good film. Some scenes just don’t work. Frank Faylen’s (of The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis fame) over-the-top dumb cop routine was tired in the 1930s.
The video and audio quality is adequate.
