Why, yes, that was a giant inflatable Trump chicken staring at the White House.

As the country grappled Wednesday with President Trump’s recent comments about North Korea, some seemed to take some pleasure in a giant inflatable chicken with the facial features and hair of the president.

The chicken was a sign of protest by Taran Singh Brar, who told The Huffington Post that he bought the balloon for $1,300.

In one video, Brar said he was criticizing Trump for “being weak and ineffective as a leader.”

“He’s too afraid to release his tax returns, too afraid to stand up to Putin, and he’s now engaged in a game of chicken with Kim Jong-un,” Brar said.

The inflatable chicken-Trump appears to be based on a statue installed outside a shopping mall in China in December. (The statue was built to celebrate the Year of the Rooster in the Chinese lunar calendar.)

The balloon was spotted around Washington including at a park near the Washington Monument.

However, many people seemed especially delighted by the chicken’s lofty appearance near Trump’s current home.
