Ronda Rousey reveals why she decided to leave MMA

In recent years, one of the female protagonists of the WWE rings who has grown the most in front of the TV screens of the federation is undoubtedly Ronda Rousey, current champion of Friday Night Smackdown, who is in a feud with Natalya, a Canadian friend for several years, who supported her.

even before he came to WWE. Ronda's love of pro-wrestling has been a thing of the past for years, so much so that Baddest Woman on the Planet had made some WWE ring appearances when she was still an MMA athlete and worked for Dana White's UFC, but in the meantime, she was already winking at the world of pro-wrestling discipline, which in the end welcomed her with open arms, after only a few years.

In the last period, however, especially in the juncture in which Rousey was at home, for her first pregnancy, the girl managed to bring on the wrath of several insiders and several fans, attacking the world of wrestling and insulting some very important characteristics of the world of the discipline, such as the storylines or the pre-established part of the match.

Ronda Rousey is a former UFC star

In her last speech to the microphones of Daniel Cormier, Hall of Famer of the UFC, the company in which Ronda Rousey worked until a few years ago and where she became internationally renowned, Ronda wanted to tell the reason that led her to leave permanently the world of MMA and that of judo, saying: "I think it was very difficult to leave both judo and MMA because everyone else still expected a lot from me.

Like, in judo, I started in my mid-20s. At 21 I took the first medal and so up to 25 for the next Olympics. Everyone was there saying 'Oh, that's right! You will be the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal! ' And I didn't want to anymore, I couldn't keep doing it for others.

And I think it was the same mistake I made in MMA, I got to the point that I didn't want anything anymore, because I kept doing it only for everyone else." During an interview with Daniel Cormier on The DC Check-In, Ronda Rousey stated that the plans were for her to return to WWE as a heel, but Vince McMahon changed his mind after hearing how the crowd reacted to her.

"I was supposed to come back as a heel. Vince [McMahon] was like, 'They popped real big, so she's a babyface.' I did a heel interview after and everyone was like, 'What the hell?' Next Monday, I'm like, 'I'm coming in as a heel' and they're like, 'No, you need to smile and you need to stop being a b***h.'

'No, I love being a b***h! It's my outlet for b*tchery!' 'No, pull it back for a little bit.' 'Okay, high fives.' It's fine being a babyface," she said.
