Jack Laugher and Lois Toulson never really had a first date. By the time they became an item, the Olympic divers had been training alongside each other every day for years. The first time they went out as a couple was for dinner at a nice Japanese restaurant, one that cooked hot teppanyaki food fresh in front of them, but they can’t remember exactly when it was, which makes anniversary celebrations a bit tricky.

There was no grand introduction to their friends; their training group had seen them getting closer and suspected they were becoming an item. There was no awkward meet the parents, either; their families knew each other from years of diving competitions.
