The Pleasanton Boys Summer Hoops squad ended their 2012 season on a positive note with a great finish in San Antonio. Pleasanton was able to capture 3rd place in the South Texas Invitational, which was hosted by the South Texas Basketball Officials.
The Summer Hoops squad, which competed all season in a S.A. League was coached by Alex Calderon and Scott Kuenstler. All summer they assisted the Eagles with sharpening up a few of their skills, which will hopefully pay-off once basketball rolls around during the school year.
The Summer Hoops squad was able to defeat Devine, Uvalde, Hondo and Edison twice to capture third place. The two losses in the tournament were surrendered to 5A Laredo Nixon and 5A Del Rio.
