Ronda Rousey rose to stardom thanks to her incredible win-loss record in the UFC where she went undefeated for years. Ronda Rousey won 12 UFC fights in a row until she finally lost to Holly Holm in 2015, and then to Amanda Nunes in 2016. After her UFC career was over, Ronda Rousey turned her attention to WWE, winning the WWE Raw Women's Championship and becoming one of the first women to ever main event WrestleMania.
Rousey recently made her return to WWE, making a surprise appearance in the 2022 Royal Rumble match and winning it, allowing her to challenge Charlotte Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship at WrestleMania 38. It seems Rousey did not return to WWE in time to be a part of the WWE 2K22 base game roster, but there are apparently plans to add her as post-launch DLC.
This is according to a report by Sports Gamers Online, citing unspecified sources. If the report is to be believed, WWE itself asked 2K Sports to include Rousey in the WWE 2K22 video game. It's unclear exactly how long fans will have to wait to get Rousey in WWE 2K22, but there are multiple DLC packs planned for the game as part of its Season Pass.
As it stands, WWE 2K22 has only revealed one DLC character that will be added to the game after its release. It has been confirmed that musician Machine Gun Kelly will be added to WWE 2K22 as DLC. It's possible that MGK and Rousey will be included in the same DLC pack, but it's also possible that they will be released separately. Fans will have to wait for official information on WWE 2K22's DLC plans to find out more information on that front.
Rousey was previously featured as one of the playable wrestlers on the WWE 2K20 roster, where she had a 90 overall rating. If Rousey comes to WWE 2K22, it will be interesting to see where her rating falls. As it stands, Rousey has only ever lost one match in her WWE career and has been undefeated since her return. On the other hand, Rousey's lengthy hiatus from WWE could very well drag her overall rating down.
It will definitely be interesting to see how Rousey's rating compares to Becky Lynch's WWE 2K22 rating, as Becky is the only WWE star to hold a victory over Rousey. One would imagine that would mean Lynch's rating would be higher than Rousey's, but that remains to be seen.
WWE 2K22 launches March 11 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
