In a fascinating turn of events on the latest "WWE Raw," renowned wrestlers Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler they were dramatically returned to the storyline. However, reports suggest that one of these WWE superstars might remain temporarily in the limelight.
According to Dave Meltzer's recent insights in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it appears that Rousey and Baszler had initially been earmarked to win the coveted WWE Women's Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 39. This title victory was planned to be a part of an expansive storyline featuring Rousey.
Contrary to these early plans, the duo emerged victorious in a four-way tag team showcase instead. The tag championship saw competitors Becky Lynch and Lita take center stage in a riveting six-woman tag match. This divergence from the initial plans has sparked interest among fans and wrestling pundits.
"Rousey's Impending WWE Hiatus"
Adding another layer of intrigue, Meltzer indicated that Rousey was on the brink of another hiatus from WWE. This break was anticipated to follow WrestleMania, with the Rousey-Baszler tag team narrative reaching its climax before Rousey's departure.
Her imminent rest has led to mounting questions about the scheduling and timing of her absence. It also doubts whether Liv Morgan can participate and defend the titles alongside Raquel Rodriguez in Rousey's absence. Despite these uncertainties, WWE has not officially declared the title match for the upcoming WWE Night of Champions event in Saudi Arabia.
Rousey and Baszler, however, have already issued their challenge for the event. One important note from the WrestleMania event was that Rousey participated despite nursing an arm injury, which prevented her from actively performing in the match.
Baszler, on the other hand, carried the mantle for their team. Unfortunately, she appeared to sustain a foot injury while clinching the win. During their absence, the WWE transferred them from "SmackDown" to "Raw." It was also reported earlier this year that after Rousey's most recent tenure with the "SmackDown" Women's Championship, she wanted to transition to the tag division alongside Baszler. The latest developments have undoubtedly stirred a whirlwind of anticipation and speculation among the WWE fanbase.
