As Saturday concluded, a few players stood out on Saturday from the start to the end of the day. From elite athleticism, high motors, tough competitors, these guys started the tournament out on the right note to give their teams a chance to win.

KeShun Jackson (Self Built 2025 5’11″) #10- Jackson is an elite athlete that plays both ends of the floor with a lot of energy. Jackson does a great job of defending in transition constantly meeting players at the rim. On the offensive end, he sprints the floor and does a good job of finishing at the rim and finishes through contact. Jackson has a high motor that sticks out like a sore thumb and he uses that to go make basketball plays. From second-chance rebounds and points to blow-by finishes at the rim, Keshun can cause problems in the game and makes it hard for a scouting report done if you’re the opposing team. He will be one to watch in the future.

Quin Jacobs (Self Built 2025 5’9″) #24- Jacobs is a strong athletic guard that loves to go coast to coast and finishes well with either hand at the rim. From the time watching i started watching him i was impressed with his ability to take care of the ball and defend right after a play was made. Quin doesn’t jog back on defense, he scores and turn around to pick up full court right away. At 5’9″ he using his quickness to his advantage and uses his athleticism to get to the rim and finishes. If he’s left open he will make you pay by knocking down the open jumper.

William Hill (Grind Family Chicago 2025 5’10″) #10- At just 5’10″ Hill plays the post for his grind family team and does an excellent job at it. His jumping ability makes up for his height and he has a nice frame as well which allows him to not get pushed around by bigger post players. Often times all his guards have to do is dump it off on the way to the rim and he does the rest by finishing at the rim through contact.

Tayren Combs (Amarillo Nets 2025 6’2″) #0- Tayren has great court awareness on both ends of the floor. His awareness with his wingspan and high IQ sets him apart and makes him a huge factor on the defensive end allowing him to read plays and get stops. What sticks out most is his willingness to do all the little things for this nets team. Tayren body language and energy is what gets this nets team going and causes them to go on big runs.

Taysen Combs (Amarillo nets 2025 6’1″) #2- Alot like his brother tayren, taysen gets the job done on the defensive end as well. Nets gave us a glimpse of a 2-3 and with the combs brothers at top, they disrupted alot of action and taysen showed his ability to finish in transition consistently. Taysen has great footwork and finesse when finishing especially in traffic when the defense runs through or try to be physical.
